Toward Creating a Space for Co-Creation Among Diverse Individuals
The logo of the YOSHUKEN Project is inspired by the intriguing properties of Penrose tiling※, which forms infinitely diverse, aperiodic patterns, with identical local patterns
recurring endlessly. The three layers of Penrose tiles symbolize “architecture,” highlighting both
differences and commonalities, while the leaf patterns represent various “behaviors.” This logo visually
embodies the concept of the YOSHUKEN Project, aiming to create a space for co-creation among diverse
individuals.
※Penrose tiling was discovered in the 1970s by the mathematical physicist Roger Penrose. It uses two
types of rhombus-shaped tiles that, when arranged according to specific rules, form infinitely varied,
aperiodic patterns. Furthermore, identical local patterns appear infinitely, and it is impossible to infer
the complete pattern from any single local part.
